How to give public comment

Where: FLPD Community Room #1004, 1300 W. Broward Blvd., Fort Lauderdale (not City Hall). Agenda on Legistar
What's on the agenda: Tonight's agenda has 56 items, and none of them is the Riverwalk seawall. Three items involving Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale, Inc. are on the consent agenda: CM-6, CR-2 and CR-3.
How to be heard: The City's online comment portal closed on October 18, 2026 at 6:00 PM EDT. If you want to speak tonight, please sign up in person at the meeting. Keep your comment short and specific: say who you are, where you live or work, and ask the Commission to assess interim stabilization of the failed Riverwalk North seawall section now, as our report's first ask recommends.

Commission watch
After each meeting
After each Commission meeting we will post a short note here on whether the seawall was on the agenda and what happened, based on the published agenda and minutes.
From August 18 through October 6, 2026, no City Commission agenda item carried a title referring to the seawall, although the Commission adopted the capital plan that funds it on September 14.[20, 21]
